Hiring a company to handle your disposition is a major trust issue.
You have to be sure that your equipment will be disposed of properly
or you could be partly responsible for any violations of EPA regulations
where your old equipment is involved. Furthermore, you have to
be sure that the hard drives of all equipment you dispose of are
totally and completely sanitized and destroyed, or once again,
you could be violating state and federal consumer privacy laws,
not to mention risking the security of your organization’s
private records.
With CDI, our experience and expertise are your assurance that we
do dispositions right—disposing or destroying all equipment
in compliance with environmental regulations and utilizing today’s
most effective methods for complete and total hard drive data eradication.
Plus, at CDI we’re one of the most active buyers and sellers
of used IT equipment in North America, so we not only know the market,
we make the market. Which means that we’re astutely aware of
the value of your used technology, and you can be sure that when
we purchase your equipment at the end of its useful lifecycle, we’re
offering a fair market price.
WE TAKE TAKE-OUT SERIOUSLY
Our disposition services include audit and removal of outdated, underused
or obsolete equipment. With two 45,000 square foot facilities,
including more than 10,000 storage locations and a real time RF-based
warehouse management system, we can accept a wide array of PCs,
notebooks, servers, monitors, telephony and enterprise level equipment.
Utilizing current diagnostics tools, our certified technicians process
each piece, entering serial numbers and configuration details into
our comprehensive test and audit system. Cosmetic defects are digitally
photographed in a JPEG format and filed on a dedicated server. Our
customers are provided with secure access to these images as well
as a test and audit report with complete equipment details, condition
and records of any non-conformance.
Depending on the quantity of units you wish to dispose of, we offer
on- or off-site testing and auditing services, including pallet packing,
pickup and removal of the equipment. With on-site testing and auditing,
you may even be able to take advantage of manufacturers’ warranties
if defects or non-conformances are discovered. For disposition services
not performed on-site, we can provide transportation to our testing
and auditing facilities.
