Sun Ex000 Enterprise systems:
These systems introduce a scalable architecture that will enhance performance
and investment protection with CPU/system and IO boards that are interchangeable
throughout the entire product line.

Sun Ex500 Enterprise systems:
All Enterprise X500 servers offers many of the same features as the Ex000 with
the addition of an enhanced Gigaplane system interconnect which improves
overall system performance. The clock board, CPU/memory board, and all I/O
boards support the faster Gigaplane.
Enterprise 3500 Server
The system has a total of five board slots which can be used for either CPU/memory
boards or I/O boards, with support for up to 8 processors. This system also
includes 8 internal slots for dual ported FC-AL drives. It will support up
to 8 GB of memory.
Enterprise 4500 Server
This server features eight system board slots and supports up to 14 processors.
This system will support 4 GB of memory per CPU/memory board, for a total
of 24 GB of memory. Internal storage solutions include the use of a disk
board with 2 drives.
Enterprise 5500 Server
This server further enhances the E4500 by including a data center cabinet.
It features eight system board slots and supports up to 14 processors. This
system will support 4 GB of memory per CPU/memory board, for a total of 24
GB of memory. Internal storage solutions include the use of a disk board
with 2 drives. The data center cabinet offers rack space for external storage
capacity. The data center cabinet is larger than the cabinet offered with
the E5000.
Enterprise 6500 Server
With the capacity for 16 CPU/memory boards or IO boards, it can support up
to 30 processors and 4 GB per CPU/memory board, for a total of 60 GB. The
E6500 is designed to run mission-critical applications such as data warehouses
and ERP systems. Its modular components make it easy to increase performance
and I/O capacity in this highly expandable machine.
E10000 Enterprise Server—features Dynamic System Domains and high-performance crossbar interconnect, coupled with advanced RAS features, proven OS architecture and unlimited linear scalability. This system supports up to 64 processors.

SUN WORKGROUP SERVERS
280R Enterprise Server—the 280R offers
a Sun Fire plane interconnect (up to 4.8 GB/s), redundant, hot-swap
power supplies, fibre channel disk drives, remote system control (RSC)
and 4U form factor. The 280R can be configured with up to 2 UltraSPARC
III Cu processors, up to 8 GB of memory and as many as 2 front accessible
hot-swap disk drives. The 280R comes standard with 8 MB of Level 2
cache.
220R Enterprise Server—A two-processor workgroup server designed for network computing, the 220R serves up multiprocessing power, UltraSCSI disks and PCI I/O bus in a highly modular, rack-mounted design. The 220R offers the flexibility to scale processing needs without increasing footprint size and is an ideal solution for service providers, financial institutions, compute-intensive environments, or anyone who needs strong processing power in a small, rack-mountable footprint.
E250 Enterprise Server—The Sun Enterprise 250 accommodates up to two 300- or 400-MHzUltraSPARC processors for extremely high performance. The E250 has sophisticated RAS features, including multiple independent data paths, ECC memory and data-path protection, Automatic System Recovery, built-in service processor with Remote System Control (RSC) and redundant hot-swap power.
420R Enterprise Server—A four-processor workgroup server for network computing, the 420R offers greater expansion capability than the 220R, while bringing multiprocessing power, UltraSCSI disks and a (PCI) I/O bus into a highly modular, rack optimized rack unit design. The 420R gives you the flexibility to scale processing needs without wasting space.
E450 Enterprise Server—Delivering excellent performance within a mix of compute-, data-, or I/O-intensive applications, the E450 supports up to four 300-MHz/2-MB or 400-MHz/4-MB processors, a 1.6-GB/sec UPA interconnect and a 1-GB/sec PCI I/O subsystem for outstanding performance and data throughput. With up to 4-GB of main memory, up to 364-GB of fast hot-swap UltraSCSI internal storage, and over 6-TB of external storage capacity, the E450 will accommodate growth as needs expand.
